Chicken Seekh Kabab Recipe

Chicken Seekh Kabab is a dish popular in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. It is spiced minced chicken that is skewered into cylindrical shapes and pan roasted until browned.


  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 teaspoon coriander leaves
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 1/12 teaspoon gram flour for binding
  • 1 teaspoon processed cheese
  • Bamboo skewers


  • Chop the onion and garlic and then wrap it with tissue paper to release the water
  • Cut the chicken breasts into cubes and then mince it using a food processor 
  • Transfer the minced chicken into a bowl add all of the dried spices
  • Wet the bamboo skewers so the mixture doesn’t stick
  • Carefully spread the batter on the bamboo sticks
  • In a grill pan, add oil 
  • Cook the kebabs until they are browned
  • Serve hot and enjoy
